About Me
MY GEOGRAPHY JOURNEY
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Florida pursuing both a Bachelors of Arts in Geography and a Bachelors of Art in International Studies with a concentration in Europe. I will be graduating in the Spring of 2025. Through my coursework and research, I’ve explored everything from food insecurity in Alachua County to the impacts of agricultural policy in rural Appalachia. I’ve developed technical GIS skills, conducted field-based research, and engaged critically with global development issues across disciplines. My experience extends beyond the classroom. I interned with the Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Unit at the State Attorney’s Office, where I supported prosecutors, prepared case materials, and gained insight into how the legal system functions on the ground. I also studied abroad in Mérida, Mexico, which strengthened my passion for international engagement and cultural understanding. These experiences have shaped my goal of attending law school and potentially pursuing a career in environmental law, where I can use legal advocacy and geographic tools to address issues like climate justice and land use equity. Outside of academics, I’ve served as a cheerleader for the University of Florida, performing on game days and supporting athletic programs across campus. As a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, I’ve taken on leadership roles and contributed to philanthropic efforts, building a strong foundation in teamwork, communication, and community service. Whether I’m mapping regional disparities, volunteering locally, or planning for a future in public service, I’m motivated by a commitment to justice, equity, and sustainability. This portfolio reflects the interdisciplinary journey that has brought me to the intersection of geography and law.
